How we sort results

This translation is provided for convenience; the German version is legally binding.
You should be able to find the offer that suits you without a long search. That is why we order every results list according to fixed rules. Which rules these are — and where we only show offers from our partners — is set out here.
1. Flights
Above the list, you choose between three orders. The default is “Best”.
- Best combines price and travel time: the price counts for 60 per cent, the total travel time for 40 per cent — each measured against the cheapest and the fastest offer in your search. Each stop is added as a surcharge worth 20 per cent of the cheapest price — so a direct flight comes first unless the connection with a stop is significantly cheaper.
- Cheapest orders by price alone, Fastest by travel time alone.
- If two offers are tied, the cheaper one comes first.
The “Direct flights only” switch in the search only asks for connections without stops; the filters above the list (for example stops, times or airlines) hide offers. “Best” is then recalculated among the remaining offers — measured against the cheapest and the fastest offer that remains. That is why their order relative to one another can change; with “Cheapest” and “Fastest” it stays the same.
Only offers from our partners Kiwi.com and Aviasales are shown. We receive a commission from them if you book with them through us; your price does not change as a result. The commission has no influence on the order — only price, travel time and stops.
2. What applies to all lists
- Which offers appear in a list depends on your search.
- Where the prices come from and when they were retrieved is stated on every list.
- How we select and order the offers on our theme and destination pages is explained under How we work.
